AOTrauma Research: Organization and Contact

AOTrauma research operates at the national and regional levels, spanning the globe. It is overseen by the AOTrauma Research Commission (AOTRC).

One of AOTRC’s main responsibilities is to coordinate and monitor all global AOTrauma research activities
(AO Research Institute, AO Clinical Investigation and Documentation, and AOTrauma CPP). Focused on clinically relevant problems, AOTRC is responsible for issuing new project calls, allocating research funds and monitoring the progress of funded projects. This single funding body structure assures resources are aligned across a multitude of geographical and organizational platforms. In addition, young researchers are provided with direction through clearly defined entry points to AOTrauma research objectives.

The AOTRC is not concerned with the development and testing of new implants.
