Lecture training at the AO Faculty Education Program (FEP) in Minsk, Belarus
Seventeen AOTrauma faculty from seven countries gathered in Minsk, Belarus, in February for the 2019 AO Faculty Education Program (FEP). The event concluded a five-week online course devoted to adult education, lecturing nuances, small group discussions and the specifics of practical sessions. Participants benefited from the unique knowledge that made the AO orthopedic and trauma post-diploma course the best worldwide.
The international program connected participants from Belarus, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Ukraine, and Georgia for one and a half day, living the AO spirit, sharing the specifics of trauma care in their countries, and translating theory into practice.
Andrey Volna and Leonid Farba and certified AO surgical educator Elena Farba gave feedback on the four-minute demo lecture and ten-minute demo discussions prepared by each participant and discussed the findings within the peer group.
Along with the program’s theoretical and practical content, the well-known “AO spirit” established an atmosphere of friendship and sincere support.
Thanks to the expert faculty, every detail was taken into account in the preparation and implementation of the program.
