Two new AOTrauma STaRT forearm modules are now online
AOTrauma STaRT launches new forearm shaft and proximal forearm modules for residents
08 April 2019
AOTrauma is proud to launch the two newest additions to the AOTrauma STaRT learning hub for residents, the forearm shaft and the proximal forearm modules, completing the series of modules dedicated to the forearm.
Authored by Jan Bernard Sintenie (the Netherlands), Nir Cohen (Israel), and Johan Scheer (Sweden), the new forearm shaft module addresses common fractures, such as a closed Galeazzi fracture, both bone and ulnar fractures, and high-energy open fractures, as well as various fixation techniques.
Jong-Woong Park (South Korea), Chin-Hsien Wu (Taiwan), and Takashi Miyamoto (Japan) explain to residents how to deal with different fractures in the new proximal forearm module, from a simple olecranon fracture to a more complex Essex-Lopresti injury, among others.
Aiming to educate surgical residents from all over the world, these six leading international surgeons have developed an array of interactive, video-based case discussions, multiple-choice quizzes, and self-assessment activities.
All of the content is aligned with the learning objectives defined in the AOTrauma Residents Education Program.
